The Al Andalus is a luxurious and spacious broad gauge train, a unique place from which to enjoy the Spanish landscape. The railway carriages were built in France between 1929 and 1930. They have been restored to their original grandeur that is matched with an impeccable on-board service that combines quality meals with a romantic travel experience.

It combines attention to detail, exquisite décor and fine cuisine, all of which transport its guests to the glamour of the Belle Époque. Travelling through Andalusia on board this palace is a romantically evocative, once-in-a lifetime journey enhanced by the grace and distinction of the train and its sheer luxury.

The seven suite-carriages have been recently refurbished. Five of these carriages were built in France at the end of the 1920s. Decorated in the original "Belle Époque" style, and boasting of all the modern amenities, this train is a perfect combination of elegance and comfort.

The train can carry up to 64 passengers in the 32 suites of two types:

Standard suite

The standard suite has two twin beds, with a safe, minibar, wardrobe and a generous en suite bathroom. There are 12 suites in this category.

Superior suite

The Superior suite has a 150 x 200 cm double bed, minibar, safe, wardrobe and a magnificent full bathroom. Twenty suites in this category are available. A supplementary bed for a third passenger can be organised.

All the suites have air-conditioning and heating, with an independent temperature control. During the day, the beds are folded up into cosy sofas and the suite is transformed into a place to read or relax and enjoy the beautiful Spanish countryside from the comforts of your private lounge.

The "Al Andalus" has four lounge cars built between 1928 and 1930. These common spaces are used as lounges, saloons and restaurants and have large windows for the guests to enjoy the spectacular scenery passing by. Enjoy a luscious buffet breakfast, lunch or dinner, have a quiet drink, listen to musical performances, watch the landscape go by or simply relax in the comfortable armchairs. The dishes showcase traditional products, whether served onboard the train or at the carefully chosen restaurants for the trip. The menu also includes first-rate wines, coffee, herbal teas and liquors.
