Family Time

Kids enjoy trains much more than they do sitting in the back-seat of a car or waiting at airports, it’s generally more relaxing for parents and the sense of adventure is greater. If you have wriggly little ones, plane travel can be a nightmare. On the train you can let them loose to explore a little, letting you enjoy the paper for a while or chat with fellow passengers. Family-friendly train rides offer meals in a dining compartment, bunk beds to sleep in overnight, naturalists and train historians to listen to, and many a splendid view. They're a great way to slow down, relax, and spend time with the family. Whether for sheer entertainment, for relaxing cross-country experiences, or for access to places that can't be reached by conventional methods, trains offer a novel travel experience many families will enjoy and treasure.
