Riding the Andean Explorer is a unique experience. It is a journey between mountains, clouds and highlands. The Andean Explorer has a subtle, delicate style of the great Pullman trains of the twenties. It boasts a full fleet of refurbished coaches including dining cars and an open-air observation bar car. The Andean Explorer is one the most luxurious and unique ways of travelling between Cuzco and Lake Titicaca. Throughout the ten hour train journey you will see changing landscapes among mountains and rolling plains. It covers one of the highest standard-gauge rail routes in the world, reaching altitudes up to 14,150 feet. Enjoy the mysticism offered by the beautiful Peruvian Andean landscape aboard this luxury train.

The Andean Explorer is a day train with two classes, the Andean Explorer Class and the Backpacker Class. The Andean Explorer Class includes a 3-course lunch and has access to a lounge car.

The train includes dining cars and a car-bar outdoor observatory.

Seating on the train is at tables of two and four. On the journey, Andean Explorer class passengers are served a gourmet three-course lunch at their assigned seat and table. There is also come onboard entertainment. After-lunch, coffee is served in the observation/bar car. Afternoon tea is also served at your table.

The lounge car has a glass-walled, observation deck with open platform, a wonderful place to soak in the absolutely incredible scenery. It has plenty of comfortable chairs and food for purchase.
